BRICS declaration: West Asia में restraint, unilateral tariffs पर चिंता और local-currency trade को support
New Delhi Declaration ने conflicts, sanctions, trade barriers और payment systems पर bloc की साझा position दर्ज की।
BRICS leaders ने New Delhi Declaration को adopt करते हुए West Asia में escalation पर चिंता जताई और सभी पक्षों से maximum restraint, dialogue और diplomacy की अपील की।
Declaration का महत्व इसलिए बढ़ जाता है क्योंकि bloc के भीतर Iran और Gulf countries दोनों मौजूद हैं, जिनके security interests कई बार सीधे टकराते हैं।
Trade और sanctions पर language
Document ने unilateral tariff और non-tariff measures पर चिंता जताई और ऐसे sanctions का विरोध दोहराया जो UN Security Council framework के बाहर लगाए जाते हैं।
BRICS ने local currencies में trade और cross-border payment connectivity बढ़ाने को भी support किया। यह किसी common BRICS currency की घोषणा नहीं है, बल्कि existing payment systems और settlement arrangements को जोड़ने का broader agenda है।
Multipolar institutions की मांग
Declaration ने UN और global governance institutions में reform की मांग दोहराई। India लंबे समय से Security Council representation को contemporary realities के अनुरूप बदलने की बात करता रहा है।
Joint declaration legally binding treaty नहीं है। इसका value political consensus में है - खासकर तब जब member countries strategic conflicts पर अलग-अलग camps में खड़े हैं।
