IAF का DRONATHON: indigenous drones और counter-drone systems की operational test
Initiative का लक्ष्य domestic unmanned और counter-UAS technologies को laboratory demonstrations से आगे वास्तविक military requirements तक ले जाना है.
Indian Air Force ने DRONATHON 2026 की घोषणा की है, जो indigenous unmanned aerial systems और counter-UAS technologies पर केंद्रित initiative है. इसकी अहमियत इसलिए बढ़ जाती है क्योंकि modern warfare तेजी से low-cost, networked और expendable systems की ओर बदल रहा है, जिन्हें जल्दी produce और adapt किया जा सकता है.
हाल के conflicts में drones surveillance, strike, logistics और electronic-warfare roles निभाते दिखे हैं. इसके साथ militaries को layered detection और interception systems पर भी निवेश करना पड़ रहा है. भारत के लिए चुनौती domestic UAS capability और credible counter-drone defence दोनों विकसित करने की है, बिना imported components और software पर अत्यधिक निर्भर हुए.
