Biosimilars quality push: IPC ने Enoxaparin bioassays के लिए Indian reference substance लॉन्च किया

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission ने Bengaluru में biosimilars की quality और safety पर दो दिन का national conference आयोजित किया। 10-11 September के programme में regulators, industry, academia और research organisations के करीब 160 participants शामिल हुए।

Conference का broader focus India की biopharmaceutical ecosystem में quality standards, pharmacovigilance और global competitiveness को मजबूत करना था। Biosimilars complex biological medicines के comparable versions होते हैं, इसलिए इनके लिए analytical और clinical quality control ordinary generics की तुलना में अधिक जटिल होता है।

Enoxaparin reference substance क्यों महत्वपूर्ण है

IPC ने Enoxaparin Sodium bioassays के लिए Indian Pharmacopoeia Reference Substance यानी IPRS launch किया। Reference substance laboratories को testing और calibration के लिए standard benchmark देता है।

Enoxaparin एक anticoagulant medicine है। Standardised reference material domestic manufacturers और quality-control labs के लिए consistency improve कर सकता है और imported standards पर dependence कम करने में मदद कर सकता है।

Biosimilar market में quality सबसे बड़ा सवाल

India global generic medicines में बड़ी भूमिका निभाता है और biosimilars अगला strategic segment माने जाते हैं। लेकिन international markets में access के लिए manufacturing scale के साथ reproducible quality, safety monitoring और regulatory credibility जरूरी है।

इसलिए conference को केवल industry event की तरह नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए। Reference standards, pharmacopoeial methods और regulator-industry coordination तय करेंगे कि India high-value biologics market में कितनी मजबूत position बना पाता है।
