Visakhapatnam के Eastern Naval Command में Colombo Security Conclave की three-day table-top exercise simulated maritime-security scenarios के बाद conclude हुई.
Defence Ministry के अनुसार participants ने maritime terrorism, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking और illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing जैसी challenges पर काम किया. Exercise ने Maritime Domain Awareness के लिए SOPs और information-sharing arrangements भी review किए.
Significance regional है. Indian Ocean security increasingly ऐसे threats के against cooperation पर depend करती है जो conventional military categories में neatly fit नहीं होते और multiple jurisdictions cross करते हैं.
