India-Peru FTA talks final phase में: Peru भारत के जवाब का इंतजार कर रहा
Peru के Trade Minister के मुताबिक negotiations अंतिम दौर में हैं। 2026 में India Peru का second-largest export destination बन चुका है।
India और Peru के बीच Free Trade Agreement negotiations final phase में पहुंचने का दावा Lima की ओर से किया गया है। Peru के Trade Minister Rogers Valencia ने Reuters से कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने India को counterproposal भेजा है और अब New Delhi के response का इंतजार है।
दोनों देशों के बीच formal trade talks 2017 में शुरू हुई थीं। Peru को उम्मीद है कि negotiations complete होने पर agreement 2027 तक sign किया जा सकता है, हालांकि India की ओर से final timeline announce नहीं की गई है।
India Peru के लिए इतना महत्वपूर्ण क्यों हो गया
2026 में India, Peru का second-largest export destination बन चुका है। January से July के बीच Peru के exports to India 152% बढ़कर $6.184 billion पहुंच गए, जिसमें gold shipments की बड़ी भूमिका रही।
Peru दुनिया के major copper producers में भी शामिल है। इसलिए future trade deal metals, mining, agriculture और industrial inputs के लिए दोनों देशों के बीच market access को reshape कर सकती है।
FTA का मतलब क्या होगा
Final agreement होने पर selected goods पर tariffs कम हो सकते हैं, customs rules सरल हो सकते हैं और services तथा investment के लिए नया framework बन सकता है। लेकिन यह सब final negotiated text पर निर्भर करेगा।
Peru ने counterproposal भेज दिया है, पर India की acceptance या final agreement अभी confirmed नहीं है। इसलिए “deal हो गई” कहना जल्दबाजी होगी; सही framing यह है कि negotiations closing stage में हैं।
