Indian Ministry of Finance और HM Treasury ने 7 अक्टूबर को fourth India-UK Financial Markets Dialogue का joint statement publish किया। Dialogue 29 सितंबर को London में हुआ था और capital markets, insurance, pensions, asset management, sustainable finance तथा fintech पर discussions हुईं।
Indian side से RBI, SEBI, IFSCA, PFRDA और IRDAI तथा UK side से Bank of England और Financial Conduct Authority शामिल थे। यह format single trade agreement negotiate करने के बजाय practical regulatory cooperation के लिए है।
Financial-market dialogue regulatory friction कम कर सकता है और information sharing improve कर सकता है, लेकिन domestic regulators अपने statutory mandates बनाए रखते हैं। Cooperation automatic rule harmonisation या mutual market access नहीं बनाती।
UPSC के लिए यह economic diplomacy के specialised regulator-to-regulator channel का उदाहरण है और capital-market development, fintech तथा sustainable finance से जुड़ता है।
